Strategy
Our strategy unfolds with multi-faceted initiatives:
- Training youth with technical skills, giving them employment and/or income-generating opportunities.
- Empowering women so they can contribute to their family income.
- Conducting leadership training programmes to create leaders who can ensure the sustainability of our projects.
- Creating rural enterprises with eco-friendly and sustainable technologies.
A multi-pronged approach:
Nurturing Skills Nationwide: 95 Sri Sri Kaushal Vikas Kendras across 18 States in India offer certification in 50+ job roles covering different sectors. With a unique emphasis on sectors supporting sustainable development like solar energy, some of these centres extend their reach to remote regions in the North-East, Jammu and Kashmir, and other conflict affected areas.
Unlocking Potential Behind Bars: Our Prison Inmate Skill Development Program operates in 16 correctional facilities nationwide, fostering self-worth, breaking self-destructive patterns, and providing pathways for economic reintegration.
Recognition of prior learning: We offer RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) certification in yoga, agriculture, textile, apparel, retail, tourism, hospitality and other sectors. This initiative validates the competencies of the informal workforce, bestowing equal recognition on experiential learning, on par with formal education.
Through our 'Access to Employability' programme, we've impacted over 69,000 students across 200+ colleges in 17 states. We offer classes in interview skills, spoken English, personal grooming, soft skills, advanced computer training, and job-specific technical training.
With the backing of corporate partners, we offer an Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP). This initiative equips individuals who have completed skill training with the proficiency to develop solid business plans for their ventures. In numerous instances, this has been complemented by access to microfinance, enabling aspiring entrepreneurs to establish their own successful enterprises.
Through Skill Gap Surveys, we analyse discrepancies between youth aspirations and job availability in diverse industry sectors and regions. Our reports provide valuable, data-backed insights to support informed policymaking by the government.
Collaborating with the Government of India's Ministry of Tribal Affairs, we're actively engaged in the Van Dhan Vikas Yojana. This initiative focuses on uplifting tribal communities by providing livelihood training, establishing self-help groups, creating manufacturing units, and facilitating market connections.
Our career counselling services assist young individuals in recognising their strengths and aptitudes through psychometric assessments. We broaden their horizons by showcasing the diverse array of skill development opportunities and steer them toward well-suited career paths, whether in training, employment, or entrepreneurship.

At The Art of Living Skills Development Center, I received valuable teacher guidance and enrolled in the renewable energy training programme. The training provided practical and significant information. Post-training, Schneider's team advised me to start my own business. Today, I'm a successful entrepreneur, assisting juniors in launching their enterprises.
